These small (10x10cm, approximately 3.9x3.9in) studies are part of a series inspired by my travels in the Scottish Highlands. They are oil paint on canvas panels. The paint has been applied thickly with both brushes and palette knives. 

They would display well on small easels or in a shadow box.
