This is a difficult one to photograph properly! This piece is an accordion sketchbook depicting Edinburgh’s skyline from Arthur’s Seat in the east all the way to the Forth Bridges in the west. It was made on location from a window and balcony in Pilrig, and consists of several layers of mixed media, including pastel, watercolour, charcoal, and pencil.

The closed book measures 21 x 14.5 x 3 cm. Extended fully, the drawing is 522 cm long.
